Job Summary

We are currently seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Nurse (OHSN) to join our team in the People Services Department.

This is a regular full-time position responsible for promoting and protecting the health, safety,
and well-being of City employees across all departments including Fire & Emergency Services,
Operations, Environmental Services, Recreation and Engineering.

This role will foster an inclusive workplace in order to support both the Employee
and the Employer through the employment life cycle. The OHSN will perform risk assessments,
audits and statistical reviews and prepares written reports with recommendations. They also develop
and deliver formal training on occupational health issues as well as facilitate ergonomic assessments,
focusing on accessibility standards from AODA perspective.,
  • A Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Ontario with a recognized certificate in Occupational Health Nursing.

  • Maintenance of confidential employee health records according to legislation such as MFIPPA or PHIPA.
