Here's what you will do:

Complete pre & post trip inspections
Transport freight. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is properly secured for transport
Plan routes and follow delivery schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods
Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices and onboard computers
Follow required Hours of Service according to Canadian legislation
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle
Maintain vehicle cleanliness, replace gaskets, nozzles & other related articles as necessary
Administer bills of lading
Report any incidents & near misses to management

We are looking for drivers who have:

Minimum 1 year verifiable Class 1 experience
Speaks, reads & understands English: the rules & law of Canadian roads
Ability to utilize technology such as Samsara for hours of service and elogs
Knowledge of heavy equipment operation
Knowledge of heavy equipment operation
Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines
Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading of cargo and long hours on the road
Applicants will be required to pass a criminal background check, road test, and a drug & alcohol test in compliance with DOT requirements
