In your role as
Market Access Associate, you will be working with the Market Access Senior Manager in strategic market access planning which will include the preparation and/or review of submission documents as part of HTA, provincial, national, or third-party payer submissions.


Requirements:


  • Undergraduate degree in Science or Business Administration
  • Master's degree in a related field is preferred
  • At least 35 years experience working within the pharmaceutical sector with a thorough knowledge of the Canadian pharmaceutical reimbursement landscape
  • Prior experience working in regulatory or pharmaceutical sales (with strong understanding of scientific data) considered an asset
  • Strong analytical skills with a high degree of comfort working in areas which may not be clearly defined
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities through superior organizational skills and comfortable pivoting between a broad range of responsibilities and taking on additional responsibilities beyond the scope of the role
  • Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Delivers results using a collaborative, professional and inclusive approach
  • Patient first mentality
  • Fosters collaboration and teamwork by building strong partnerships both internally and externally
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset

Responsibilities:


  • Prepare landscape assessments and monitor reimbursement decisions for key products and therapeutic areas of interest to Medison
  • Assist in the creation of productspecific access materials to support payer meetings; facilitate meeting coordination and payer engagement
  • Support RFP review, vendor selection and contracting process as needed
  • Provide support for responding to requests from Medison partner organizations and Global
  • Support local projects that generate evidence to fill gaps in order to optimize the reimbursement of products
  • Collect, analyze and report on pricing and utilization data
  • Review impact of PMPRB changes and analytics needed to assess these changes
  • Complete PMPRB reporting and aid in resolving investigations
  • Plan for expected Product Listing Agreements (PLAs) and timelines associated with all provinces following pCPA negotiations
  • Provide analytic support for PLA negotiations
  • Monitor PLA payments and validate invoices received from drug plans prior to payment
  • Ensure PLAs are maintained in the PLA database and provide ongoing monitoring of the database including PLA expiry
