We are a lovely intimate size with only 50 suites, permitting time to really get to know our Residents and their families.

The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

Cleaning, dusting, sanitizing Resident's suites and public areas of the residence.
Clean suites vacated by Residents and prepare suites for incoming Residents.
Collect refuse from throughout the community and properly dispose or recycle.
Wash and dry laundry following established laundry procedures.
Fold laundry as required, sort and deliver personal laundry to Residents, store linens in the appropriate locations.
Clean and sanitize cleaning and laundry equipment, reporting any concerns or damaged equipment to the appropriate manager.
Work as part of a team in support of one another and our Residents

- delivering seamless services to residents to create a pleasant dining experience

Portion out and serve food and beverages within the dining room
Wash dishes and utensils; operate dishwasher
Stack clean dishes and utensils; also set, clear and clean dining tables
Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and sanitizing counter tops, sinks, machines, and equipment and spot washing walls and splash areas

Qualifications Include:

Ability to speak, read and write in English. Must be able to follow verbal and written directions and to complete simple arithmetic calculations.
Ability to do extensive standing, walking, squatting, and lifting at it pertains to laundry and dietary.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Completion of a TB Test, and a Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search as per the Retirement Homes Act.

This position is a combination of Dietary (7am - 2pm) and Housekeeping (7:30am-1:30pm) shifts.
