Job Summary


An
Inside / Counter Sales Representative is a crucial part of the Fastening House customer service model and are key to the success and revenue growth of the company.

Providing customers with a high level of service and support is what differentiates Fastening House from its competitors.

Inside sales representatives have a significant impact on customer support and satisfaction, providing customers and prospective customers with information regarding products, services, pricing, and general inquiries.

This role Effectively manages and resolves any customer-related issues such as shipment discrepancies or credit issues. Inside Sales Representatives are the key contacts for Fastening House customers on a day-to-day basis.


Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Enter customer orders and management fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Growing professional relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ask pertinent questions, provide information customer may need, Solution selling addons to simple inquiries from customers.
  • Track orders/Quotes and be proactive with providing customers with information.
  • Manage back orders, ensuring customers are kept updated with respect to delivery dates.
  • Greeting customers and providing over the counter support when needed
  • Offer promotions, cross overs, or better solutions.
  • Maintain contact database and develop an understanding of the contacts/influencers within each account.
  • Work with Outside Sales Representatives in developing and capturing sales opportunities.
  • Liaise with manufacturers for product information/specifications, pricing, and delivery.
  • Attain special pricing for volume opportunities, understanding different pricing levels and to best leverage them to win the business.
  • Position Fastening House on new accounts without Outside Sales support. Be able to articulate Fastening House's value proposition.
  • Work with the warehouse teams across the organizing to complete orders on time

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years related experience.
  • Knowledge of sales best principles and practices.
  • Working knowledge of AS400, an asset, not required
  • University Education, Bachelor's Degree, am asset, not required.

$42,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
