Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting energy audits: Energy Advisors must perform thorough energy audits of homes and buildings to identify areas of energy waste and opportunities for improvement using a set of software, hardware, and standards.
  • Recommending energy efficiency measures: Based on their energy audit findings, Energy Advisors must recommend appropriate energy efficiency measures, such as upgrading insulation, windows, and heating and cooling systems.
  • Educating clients: Energy Advisors must educate clients on the benefits of energy efficiency, how to maintain their homes' energy performance, and how to access available incentives and rebates.
  • Assessing compliance with energy codes and standards: Energy Advisors must ensure that the buildings they assess comply with applicable energy codes and standards.
  • Maintaining accurate records: Using Energy Werx suite of record keeping tools, advisors must maintain accurate records of their energy assessments, recommendations, and any work that is completed as a result of their recommendations.
  • Keeping up with industry changes: Energy Advisors must stay up to date with changes in energy efficiency regulations, technologies, and best practices in order to provide the best advice to their clients.

Requirements:


  • Natural Resource Canada's Registered Energy Advisor License, or writing the second exam within a month.
  • Drivers license


  • Police Check

  • Background check
  • Liability, airs, and omissions insurance
  • Lives within a 30 minute drive of the City of hire

Experience and Educational Requirements:


  • High-School Diploma
  • Preferred 2 years of experience in Rebates, Construction, General Contractor, Engineering, or related fields) or equivalent training, education, or knowledge.

Compensation:


  • Will be discussed upon interview
