JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Communicates both written and orally using multiple channels with a variety of stakeholders both internal and external to the organization
- Works independently and within a team environment, with a focus on quality, accuracy and deadline compliance
- Provides excellent customer service
- Ensures vacant units of all types are rented as soon as they are available by using internal waitlists, Service Manager waitlists and programs and marketing units as required
- Develops and deploys administrative processes and policies to complete and or revise leases and provides reports as required
- Assists the Director, Tenant & Housing Services with special tenant situations and other support as needed
- Ensures a positive applicant and tenant experience throughout the rental process
Knowledge:
- An understanding of nonprofit housing including its opportunities, challenges and issues and how safe and affordable housing contributes to quality of life
- A basic understanding of general real estate leasing with a specific focus on nonprofit subsidized and affordable housing leasing processes
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of programs
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- General understanding of social media and the internet and how it can be applied to the duties of this position
- Knowledge of the Housing Services Act, Human Rights Code and Residential Tenancies Act
- Thorough knowledge on social services and community resources
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of postsecondary program such as social services, human services, marketing and business diploma or a combination of education and experience
- Professional designation such as Certified Leasing Officer (CLO)
- 3 5 years relevant experience
- Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle and adequate insurance
- Satisfactory Police Security Clearance for Vulnerable Sector
Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Salary:
$45,000.00-$48,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
