Job Purpose:

The Inventory Distribution Analyst position is responsible to facilitate the efficient movement of goods between all distribution and manufacturing locations based on analytical and quantitative methods to understand and predict customer needs to ensure fulfilment of orders through the processes relating to the deployment of finished goods and service parts to key distribution points.

This role analyses and identifies methods to satisfy customer needs prior to orders being placed by incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, and other sources.

This role will have the responsibility for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems and developing recommendations to processes.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Through analysis of sales forecast and historical sales trends identify and maintain deployment parameters to anticipate the needs of the customer prior to orders being received
  • Collaborate with Logistics, Sales channel leaders as well as Supply Chain management to improve the deployment of goods to satisfy current and future customer needs
  • Provide daily direction and priorities to Logistics on the required movements of goods by SKU
  • Manage all orders in ERP for the movement of goods
  • Track and monitor shipment status and investigate and gaps in supply movement
  • Manage the inventory levels, safety stock and deployment of service/warrantee products based on the forecast to anticipate the needs of customers prior to orders being received.
  • Manage daily inventory levels for mass merchant/ecommerce stock data feeds to ensure compliance with customer requirements
  • Manage daily KPI's relating to deployment and order fulfillment to investigate and identify future opportunities in processes for distribution of goods.
  • Designs, analyzes and generates reports for decision making support and other duties as assigned.
  • Complete reviews of slow moving finished goods and service products to identify potential obsolescence opportunities.
  • Execute O2O inventory ordering recommendations to customers to support on line traffic

Education & Experience:


  • College
  • 3+ Years Experience in Inventory Management/Supply Chain Analysis
  • SCM Degrees or Designations would be an asset
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook,). Knowledge of IBM Planning Analytics, Power BI, ERP's, S&OP, WMS, TMS would be an asset
