This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.

Your mandate


Reporting to the Director of Rights Management and Business Relations and working in close collaboration with the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for administrative aspects related to collective agreements, collective societies, agreements with image and music suppliers, centralization of information related to program rights, as well as all other aspects related to rights management and business relations.

You will be called upon to produce analyses, tables, reports to support the Business Relations and Rights Management department, Internal Production Support and for our external partners.


Job description:

  • Responds tactfully to collective societies and syndications of artists, artists, production teams for music reports or other questions;
  • Analyzes, calculates and prepares royalty tables within the parameters of collective agreements.
  • Prepares analysis reports based on statistics and databases, according to our needs when negotiating our agreements or making decisions.
  • Manages the administrative followup of our various collective agreements with artists' unions and copyright collectives, e.g. reports, notices, access,
  • Collects, analyzes and responds to minor requests from collecting societies and artists' unions. Management and processing
  • Collects, compiles, validates, archives and sends music reports to copyright management companies.
  • Makes royalty payments to artists in the Livelink system.
  • Various administrative tasks (updating documents, taking minutes, etc.).
Profile required


Qualifications:

  • Completed DEC and three (3) years' experience in a position related to administrative tasks in the production/media field.

Skills:


  • Thoroughness, meticulousness and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience or knowledge of copyright and music rights (asset).
  • Positive attitude and team spirit.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel and Access).
  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written French.
  • English an asset.
  • Knowledge of artists' unions including UdA, Sartec, AFM and collecting societies (desirable).
  • Interviews.
