Key Responsibilities:

Legal Research and Documentation:

Conduct in-depth legal research on various matters affecting the HVAC industry, including but not limited to regulatory compliance, contracts, and labor laws.

Prepare, review, and maintain legal documents, contracts, and agreements.

Regulatory Compliance:
Stay updated on HVAC industry regulations, permits, and licensing requirements. Assist in ensuring that the company complies with all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Contract Management:
Manage and review contracts, agreements, and proposals related to HVAC projects. Ensure that contracts are in compliance with legal requirements and represent the company's interests.

Litigation Support:
Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary and assist in preparing documents and evidence for legal proceedings. Maintain organized and up-to-date litigation files. (Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and closings)

Policy Development:

Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures, ensuring they align with legal requirements and industry standards.

Training and Education:

Provide legal training and guidance to the HVAC team, keeping them informed about relevant legal matters and compliance requirements.

Risk Management:
Identify potential legal risks and liabilities within the HVAC company and take proactive measures to mitigate them.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
Paralegal certification is preferred.
Prior experience working as a paralegal in the HVAC industry is strongly preferred.
Indepth knowledge of HVAC industry regulations and compliance.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in legal software and tools.
Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Knowledge of contract law, labor law, and regulatory compliance.
