    About This Opportunity

    The Digital Culture and Internal Engagement Lead is accountable for researching and developing programs and policies to foster the department's employee engagement and internal communications activities. This will include the development, implementation and evaluation of policy frameworks for workforce analysis in the digital era, employee culture and engagement activities, and support for multiple digital transformation initiatives across the department.

    Reporting to the Director of Digital Culture and People, the Digital Culture and Internal Engagement Lead will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Digital Culture, Strategy, and Performance division, the CSDS, and with partners across government to design and deliver creative engagement opportunities for CSDS staff and collaborate on internal engagement initiatives that advance government's digital transformation, build relationships and networks, and navigate the machinery of government.

    Qualifications and Experience

    To be successful in this position, you have an undergraduate degree or acceptable equivalent with experience in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment. You will have some experience with building a culture of employee engagement across a large, diverse organization.

    You possess the skills and experience to:

    • Write content and key messages for change management and internal engagement activities for a variety of audiences on a regular basis, occasionally on short timelines.
    • Design an engagement policy framework and associated processes that are adaptable and accessible.
    • Develop policies and approaches to guide and enable digital service delivery, emerging technologies, and change management models across the organization.
    • Lead and measure performance on projects related to culture and engagement.
    • Facilitate engagement and change management activities using collaborative in-person and digital techniques, for diverse audiences across all levels of the organization.
    • Research other relevant jurisdictions and industries, making recommendations for approaches, policies and strategies.
    • Collaborate widely and contribute to projects in digital policy, governance, organizational development, and accessibility.
    • Translate complex ideas and technical topics into something everyone can understand.
    • Analyze complex problems and find creative solutions to produce desired outcomes.
    • Be curious about applying digital approaches in government's environment to champion change and see real-world impacts.
    • Maintain openness to new ideas, new ways of working, and working with those who may be on different parts of their digital journeys.
