    Description

    The Role

    As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will provide strategic advice and counsel in the areas of talent management, diversity, organizational design, change management, workforce management, employee development, performance management, and rewards & recognition.

    You Will

    • Act as the point of contact for managers and employees for all major HR topics
    • Contribute to and support the delivery of the HR strategy in line with business objectives
    • Drive and deliver HR initiatives to support business needs, such as talent development, employee engagement, management development and organizational change.
    • Collaborate with management to identify opportunities and areas of improvement to support improved organizational and employee performance in line with business objectives
    • Manage labor relations
    • Review and adapt human resource management policies, practices and procedures to adhere to applicable legislation when applicable.
    • Contribute to employee experience through talent development, leadership coaching, and engagement initiatives
    • Plan and execute activities within the annual HR cycle, offering coaching on change management, diversity and inclusion, and supporting well-being and collaboration initiatives
    • Manages all leaves of absence while collaborating with Managers and Payroll when facilitating return-to-work plans.
    • Analyze various HR data and make recommendations for workforce planning and improved HR practices.
    • Manages onboarding and offboarding activities.

    You Have

    • 4+ years of experience in a Human Resources role
    • Strong labour relations background (i.e. collective bargaining, union coordination, dealing with grievances, arbitration etc)
    • A University Degree specializing in Human Resources or equivalent
    • Knowledge of employment legislation (Ontario), employee relations and HR best practices
    • Knowledge of HRIS (Workday) is an asset
    • Fluent in French would be a plus
