- Develop tax planning strategies tailored to client needs (private companies, corporate groups, entrepreneurs, etc.)
- Prepare and review detailed tax memoranda, including analysis of tax implications and strategic recommendations
- Structure and implement a variety of transactions, including share capital modifications, estate freezes, rollovers, internal reorganizations, and other corporate mechanisms
- Coordinate and ensure the full implementation of transactions in collaboration with other teams (corporate, tax litigation, notaries, external accountants)
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients by clearly explaining tax implications and supporting informed decision-making
- Contribute to business development and the maintenance of client relationships
- Member of the Quebec Bar
- 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in tax law, particularly in tax planning, reorganizations, and the implementation of corporate structures
- Experience in dealing and negotiating with tax authorities
- Strong analytical and drafting skills (tax memoranda, opinions, transaction summaries)
- High level of autonomy, sound judgment, rigor, and the ability to manage multiple strategic matters in parallel
- Ability to clearly explain complex tax concepts and interact effectively with various stakeholders (clients, accountants, internal and external counsel)
