We are looking for a Demand and Production Planning Manager to work within our Sherwood Hockey business and who will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and scheduling all aspects of production to ensure efficient and effective operations.

This is a crucial role that requires a strong understanding of production processes and the ability to work closely with a team of professionals to meet production targets.

In this role, you will play a critical part in managing the supply chain and ensuring that we have the right products in the right place at the right time to meet customer demand.


What you'll do


As a Demand and Production Planning Manager you will develop broad operational experience while managing forecasting and replenishment for our Hockey business across multiple retail banners.

This role will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to manage the flow of inventory into Distribution Centres and respond to changes in demand.

Working in partnership with the Product Development, Brand Management, Category Management, Forecasting and Replenishment teams, you will ensure proper flow of products across our full assortment.


Specifically, you will:

  • Forecast demand for all hockey products, including sticks, protective gear, and accessories.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Develop and implement a demand planning process to ensure accuracy and reliability of forecasts.
  • Monitor production progress and sales performance; adjust demand and production plans as necessary to ensure efficient flow of goods.
  • Communicate regularly with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising, Brand Management, and Product teams to gather input and insights for demand planning; collaborate with these teams and suppliers to resolve any issues that may impact production schedules.
  • Manage inventory levels to minimize stock shortages and excesses; work with the purchasing team to ensure that stock levels are maintained at an optimal level.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on production and/or demand planning progress and performance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.
