The Headlines:

In the role of
-
Planning & Development Manager (contract) working in Toronto, you will be part of the Ontario Sales Team. This position reports to the Senior Customer Solutions Manager, will work closely with Sales and Brand teams as well as the Customer Solutions Teams, to develop and deliver an optimal growth plan for The Beer Store and Retail Partners.

The Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the ownership of the commercial calendar at the customer level with a specific focus on category development, shopper solutions, and commercial activation. Will build The Beer Store and Retail Partners' commercial plan in collaboration with the Key Account Manager.
  • Provide direction to supporting functions to deliver an optimal growth plan that fulfills the portfolio and brand strategies, customer objectives, and volume/financial commitments.
  • Brief internal and/or external stakeholders to ensure we have the solutions required to meet our customers' needs and fuel growth.
  • Hold a robust understanding of the shopping environment and know the best way to create disruption and conversion with shoppers.
  • Responsible for budget allocation, to ensure we are investing to achieve our customer's annual plan and targets.
  • Responsible for delivering key inputs to the Monthly Planning Cycles, including Retail Strategy meetings, and Commercial Readiness and Alignment sessions. Also responsible for leading Strategic and Quarterly Customer meetings.
  • Own and complete After Action Reviews to utilize learnings to optimize in year and future customer plans.

  • You have a bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing or another relevant field.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years progressive experience in Sales, Trade Marketing and/or Marketing, preferably within CPG or related industry.
  • You are creative and an innovative thinker.
  • You can build and sustain strong internal/external business relationships.
