We are now looking for Assistant Meat Department Manager to join our teams in Pitt Meadows, assist in managing all functions and activities of the department:Job Title:
Assistant Meat Department Manager
Job duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform meat cutting and /or meat wrapping duties as needed
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; ensure all equipments are in safe working conditions.
- Prepare all fresh meat, frozen meat, materials/supplies purchase orders as needed.
- Perform administrative tasks and maintain proper buying/expense records for the Meat Department.
- Maintain a high standard of merchandising, placement, and product signage.
- Train, schedule, support and supervise staff; manage staff performance in areas including thoroughness, quality control, cleanliness and work pace.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Meat processing/cutting experience required
- Related management work experience
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexible to work weekdays, weekends, evening hours and/or statutory holidays
- Possession of a valid Food Safe Certificate would be an asset
Experience:
- meat cutting: 1 year (preferred)
