***Reporting to the Service Manager and Shop Foreman, the Shop Labourer will be an entry-level Position, you will be part of a dedicated team who are responsible for a variety of duties relating to mechanical repair and rebuilding of components. Your role will be to support the mechanical team and maintain a clean and safe work environment. The current Edmonton facility's operating hours are Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 11:00 pm and Saturday 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Technicians/Labourers may/will be required to work shift work, evenings, and weekends.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain order, cleanliness and safe working conditions in individual and shared workspaces.
- Comply with Company Health & Safety Program, Occupational Health & Safety Legislation, and any other municipal, provincial, or federal legislation as it applies to this dealership.
- Perform daily, weekly, and Monthly Clean up duties, equipment and building inspections.
- Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to the Shop Foreman.
- Maintain, Clean and organize tool storage area.
- Organize, store, and maintain shop supplies inventory.
- See service advisors for overflow vehicle checkin responsibility.
- Keeps shop area neat, clean, and safe. Reports any safety concerns to the Shop Foreman immediately.
- Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, provincial, and local regulations, such as
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a valid class 5 driver's license, Class 3 with a Q endorsement would be considered an asset.
- Must be able to work in a highpressure environment safely.
- Ability to follow the direction of a direct supervisor.
- Must work well with others and be able to adjust to multiple settings and personalities.
- Proficient in planning workload in a timeefficient manner.
- Must be able to present yourself positively and professionally to colleagues and customers.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from coworkers and managers.
- Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
- Basic Tools are considered as an Asset.
- Basic Knowledge/General Handyman knowledge will be considered an asset.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Based on the safety and requirements of this role, all applicants are required to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing before gaining employment.
