This position is an opportunity to be creative and collaborative in the implementation of Stella's Place clinical and recovery programming using an integrated peer/clinical model while delivering evidence-informed interventions.
You will participate in the continued development, and oversight of integrated clinical programming, and an infrastructure that supports a peer recovery model.
You have extensive experience as both a clinician and as a clinical supervisor/manager; are comfortable with new technologies; have experience with an interdisciplinary approach; and welcome an opportunity to collaborate and harness the knowledge of young adults with lived and living experience with mental health challenges, with rich experiences and knowledge to offer.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management Administration - 80%
- Deliver services from a traumainformed, culturally responsive, and antioppressive approach
- Lead and manage the development, adaptation, and implementation of innovative evidenceinformed clinical practices
- Manage and coach a team of 6 mental health clinicians to ensure a high level of performance
- Develop effective strategies to engage and build relationships with participants, and community partners;
- Responsible for programme reporting with clinical funders
- Contribute to and manage the use of quality indicators, participant satisfaction, and outcome measures for all relevant programs, ensuring a model of continuous quality improvement is maintained;
- Initiate and lead educational activities and initiatives to enhance the skills,
- Work collaboratively with the leadership team to ensure a safe, healthy, supportive environment for young adults and staff;
- In collaboration with the Director of Program Operations, improve programs, focusing on diversity, inclusion, and equity, using feedback, research, and strategic goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address systemic barriers to access and participation by young adults, ensuring that program changes are informed by the unique needs and experiences of diverse communities.
- Foster an inclusive leadership culture that values diverse perspectives and experiences, encouraging staff to actively contribute to the ongoing refinement of best practices in mental health service delivery.
- Provide handson support during critical incidents, demonstrating effective judgment and initiative in coordinating timely interventions, mobilizing resources to mitigate risks, and ensuring the wellbeing of all stakeholders through the
- Creation and implementation of safety plans, particularly in suicide and crisis intervention and prevention scenarios
- Collaborate closely with leadership to facilitate transparent communication and debriefing processes following safety incidents, fostering a culture of learning and resilience within the organization
- Work collaboratively with the Access Programs Manager to ensure daily coverage on site
Supervision - 20%
- Provide clinical and administrative oversight and guidance to the Clinical team
- Provide supervision within the student placement program (e.g. Masters of Social Work, Masters of Counselling, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters degree or specialization in mental healthrelated discipline such as Social Work, Registered Psychotherapist or Counselling Psychology
- Membership in good standing with a professional regulatory college is required
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations, utilizing culturallyresponsive, traumainformed and antioppressive approaches
- Experience providing operational support and clinical supervision to staff including performance appraisals
- Experience with program development and coordination
- Sound knowledge and experience delivering clinical treatment approaches including, but not limited to Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Counselling, Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Approaches, Brief Solution Focused Therapy,
