Construction Site Superintendent - Saskatoon, Canada - Carpenters Regional Council - Local 1985
Description
Carpenters Regional Council Local 1985 is looking for a Site Superintendent with experience in concrete formwork in an industrial setting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise onsite construction activities, including carpentry, formwork, and other scopes as required.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all personnel.
- Monitor project progress and quality, identifying and addressing any issues or challenges that may arise.
- Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to review project status, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Manage project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve conflicts and maintain positive relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 510 years of experience in construction management, with a focus onsite supervision.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Extensive knowledge of carpentry, formwork, and other construction methods and techniques in an industrial setting.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
