Job Summary

What is the opportunity?


As a Regional Manager with RBC Global Asset Management (RBC GAM), you will provide support to our Canadian Banking advisory roles with regards to RBC GAM products, services, tools, and RBC GAM thought leadership on capital markets and the global economy.

You will be supporting Canadian Banking sales and sales leadership roles in Quebec, including Banking Advisors, Expert Banking Advisors, Financial Planners, Investment and Retirement Planners, Private Bankers, Group Advantage employees, and employees working in our Advice Centre.

You will also be responsible for creating awareness and ensuring the advancement of RBC GAM strategic priorities.


What will you do?

  • Ensure the ongoing support of products, services, and strategies consistent with the priorities of the investment business
  • Support advisors and leaders with RBC GAM insights and perspectives on capital markets and the global economy
  • Act as the "Voice of the Sales Force" for input to the Sales Strategy and Enablement team as it relates to communications, marketing, and product launches or enhancements
  • Execute on the delivery of supplementary training materials related to new investment products and services, changes to existing products and services, and new investment initiatives
  • Deliver core capability programs for advisor roles, including Investment Excellence Workshops and support for the Advice Centre
  • Build understanding of key business objectives with regional stakeholders
  • Solicit and provide feedback on national and regional activities and initiatives
  • Coordinate and deliver client events (i.e. national, regional, women, cultural diversity, etc.), COI/Networking events, quarterly priorities and themes, monthly meetings/calls with field leadership, new hire wholesaling activities, ICON events, etc.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 5 to 7 years of professional experience in providing investment advice or in sales management
  • Completion of CSC and/or IFC
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial planning, investment advice, and client investment needs
  • Strong understanding of RBC investment solutions and sales process as well as the retail banking distribution
  • Proven presentation skills along with the ability to impact and influence
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly do business with partners across Canada
  • Financial planner diploma granted by the Institute of Financial Planning

Nice-to-have

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
  • Additional financial services courses, designations, and credentials
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft 365 apps
