Within the Sales Operations department, we are looking for


Equipment Specialist


The Equipment Specialist is an integral part of our operations, providing the central coordination of the ordering, shipping and invoicing for Infection Control (Health Care/Life Sciences) capital equipment, accessories and T-Doc orders.

In addition, this position is responsible for supporting the sales and project team members during the sale and installation process, and for completing all appropriate month end activities.


The Position

This role is responsible for:

  • Process IC (HS/LS) capital equipment and accessory orders in SAP (assist in purchasing for 3rd party contractors and sales distribution modules).
  • Create Tacton ID numbers using Tacton ID software.
  • Manage and coordinate the successful delivering of IC/LS capital equipment from factory to customer site, throughout the global Supply Chain (including logistics and freight movement), in close collaboration with Sales, Projects, Service and Finance teams in Canada.
  • Support Sales team members on clinical site visits and responding to questions related to options, accessories or configurations.
  • Key Canadian contact to communicate to Sales force quick sales opportunities resulting from the Thrift Shop Listing (covering US and Canadian inventory).
  • Work closely, support and communicate with Project Management over the duration of the customer project to meet specific customer site requirements that include the release of milestone billings.
  • Work with internal teams in North America to ensure correct and timely additions to SAP of new material codes.
  • Validate product purchases to ensure accuracy and to alert Finance and Marketing teams of discrepancies that would affect overall profitability.
  • Liaison with DHS (T-DOC) in Denmark for all supply chain issues related to its software (purchases, licences, Getinge Online subscriptions).
  • Provide guidance to the Service Back Office Admin team to process and manage T-DOC service agreements (new or renewals) in close collaboration with DHS Application Sales Specialist to maximize revenue generation and customer compliance.
  • Run monthly Backlog meetings attended by Project Management, Service, Sales and Marketing.
  • Ensure monthly activities related to the installation/billing reports, invoicing, backlog reports, monthly backlog calls and forecasting are completed/distributed to Finance, Marketing, Sales and Operations teams as appropriate, with critical deviations reported in a timely manner.

Locks & Docks, keep track of equipment sent to and delivered from 3rd Party Warehouses and advising when inventory movements are required in SAP.


  • Provide backup to our current purchaser.
  • Keep Customer service designate up to date on duties, so CSR designate can back up this role if needed during any absences or vacations.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as required or assigned.
  • This role will have a hybrid environment setting so the professional will be required to go to the office twice a week.
We are looking for the following experience, knowledge and abilities:

  • University education an asset and/or a minimum of 3-5 years related experience.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual preferred, but not required
  • Able to prioritize and problem solve
  • Exhibit flexibility to adapt in a constantly changing environment
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Understand the sense of urgency and be committed to deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Experience in the medical industry is an asset.
