  • 3 to 5 years experience in a senior position, office environment. Years of experience may vary
based on previous responsibilities (e.g. assistant vs. secretary/receptionist)

  • Office Administration Diploma from a Community College
  • Advanced and demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel and Word
  • Well organized; able to meet deadlines and work well with minimum supervision
  • Proven ability to grasp computer concepts and incorporate office automation concepts into daily
workflow

  • Satisfactory attendance

  • Communication
  • superior writing, grammar and editing skills; able to differentiate between
confidential and public information, compliance with CKHA's policy regarding confidentiality

  • Can create clear, concise and meaningful presentations knowledgeable about what makes a
good presentation

  • Extremely organized able to evaluate and prioritize job tasks in order to meet deadlines
  • Proactive willing to take the initiative to improve efficiency; works well with some direction and
mínimal supervision

  • Time Management able to coordinate work on multiple projects; is not negatively impacted by
stressful situations

  • Demonstrated ability to support and embrace the philosophy of Service Excellence and Patient &
Family Centred Care

  • Demonstrated participation in building a culture of safety and partnering to improve the safety of
patient care processes and systems

  • Demonstrated performance reflecting the Mission, Vision, Values and Code of Conduct of
Chatham-Kent Health Alliance

  • Experience with Board Committee Meetings and preparing packages

ACCOUNTABILITIES (Major Responsibilities of the Position)

  • Acts as a liaison with Senior Management, Physicians, Directors, Managers, Hospital Staff, Board
and Committee members, Patient Advisors and the general public.

  • Acts as a contact, or alternate, with external customers (e.g. Ministry of Health and Longterm
Care, ESC LHIN, HIROC, media, community partners etc.)

  • Facilitate completion of confidential Quality/QCIPA Reviews, bring to the attention of the CNE any
concerns related to timely completion of same

  • Support the Vice Presidents as required, such support may include recording of minutes, preparing
presentations, pulling reports from RL6 and other duties as required

  • Facilitate projects for the CNE and the VP
  • Manage daytoday office operation of the CNE and VP (e.g. telephone inquiries, mail, appointment scheduling, calendar, supplies, staff attendance etc.)
