About the Opportunity:

The Unit Aide has an important role within the health care team.

Reporting directly to the Health Services Manager, the Unit Aide is responsible for ordering, stocking and/or maintaining all supplies and equipment to meet the needs of patients in their designated work area.

An understanding of the basic principles of infection control is essential and key to providing a safe environment for patients and staff alike.

This role also provides indirect and direct support for patient care.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade XII
  • Previous clinic aide experience preferred
  • Experience working with seniors an asset
  • Knowledge of medical terminology an asset
  • Understands and adheres to unit and hospital policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to follow directions
  • Understands the importance of cleanliness in a hospital
  • Able to establish good relationships with people
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset; French preferred

Hours:


  • Permanent Full-Time (100%) position, 75 Hours Bi-Weekly
  • Beginning August 27, 2023

Compensation and Incentives:

$ $ 21.58 Hourly
