Overview


Reporting to the Supervisor, Aquatic Complex and Programming, the Coordinator shall oversee the daily operations and supervise the seasonal employees of Marina 200.

The 160 slip facility provides fuel services and prides itself on offering excellent customer service to seasonal and transient boaters, visitors, and tourists.

The Coordinator will regularly inspect the Marina grounds to identify any maintenance requirements and coordinate with our members of the staff to address these issues.

During the off-season, the Coordinator will report to the Tourism Officer in the Tourism Division of Economic Development.

The Coordinator will work closely with other members of staff such as the Supervisor, Recreation and Programming and Tourism Coordinator to assist with efforts to support / attract major conferences and sporting events, group tours and the travel trade sector and to aid with special events / initiatives and other tourism projects as assigned.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or degree in Business Management or a related field. Education in the Hospitality and Tourism field will be considered an asset.
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in a coordination role at a marina, have experience in the safe sale and handling of fuel in a marina setting and demonstrated retail operations experience.
  • Possess a valid class G driver's license, a valid Boater's Operating License, demonstrated skills in boat handling and mooring and knowledge of the waterways of the St. Lawrence River.
  • VHF Radio Operators Certificate would be considered an asset.
  • Core competencies for the position include the ability to empathetically support the people you lead, effectively delegate responsibilities instead of tasks, and a relentless communicator that ensures everyone understands the expectations and standards.
  • Fully bilingual in French and English would be considered an asset.
The City of Cornwall offers a starting annual salary of $74,298 plus a comprehensive benefits package.
