We provide design services to both commercial and residential clients, resort operators and residential and commercial real estate developers.     This Role:

    Portico Design Group is looking for a highly motivated Junior Interior Designer to join our team. You are self-driven, and fueled by providing the highest quality design product. You love being a member of a team where all voices are heard and supported. You love collaborating with a consultant team to create unique, creative and well thought out spaces.

    More specifically this role would involve:

    • Support for Intermediate and Senior Designers with their active projects through the concept, documentation and contract admin stages
    • Production of full documentation packages in CAD (drawings and specifications)
    • Production of visual presentations for client meetings
    • Assisting design teams with product sourcing
    • Visual, written, and verbal communication with clients, suppliers, and colleagues

    Requirements/Skill set:

    · A degree or diploma in Interior Design

    · 0-2 years working with a recognized Interior Design or Architectural Firm (experience with Developers would be an asset)

    · Sound knowledge in AutoCAD, Windows, Adobe, and Sketch-up

    · Ability to work on multiple tasks at a time

    · Knowledge of what constitutes a documentation package

    · Knowledge of construction administration tasks

    · Self-directed and able to work independently, but know when to reach out for guidance and support

    · Ready to receive and welcome coaching from supervisors and colleagues

    · Armed with excellent time management and organizational skills

    · A desire to build strong relationships with diverse personalities both within and outside the company

    · Passionate about design, creating homes for all, a positive outlook, and patience
