Status:
Professional, Permanent, Full Time

This involves dealing with road, rail, and vessel carriers.

  • Plan, book and enter in our systems rail and truck movements for ON & QC in coordination with suppliers, terminals, customers, internal parties, and trucking companies.
  • Provide supplier & customer service by meeting delivery requirements and by addressing concerns and requests for information.
  • Negotiate truck or rail freight rates and arbitrage geographic points to maximize profitability.
  • Coordinate contract executions with third parties facilities.
  • Maintain contact with internal and external customers to determine delivery requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to execute the master logistic plan.
  • Hire truckers to transport Sollio commodities as required.
  • Generate internal weekly activity reports.
  • Identify, investigate, research, problem solve and present alternate options or solutions to the issue.
  • Support terminals and thirdparty facilities on logistics issues and throughput volumes.
  • Investigate if needed, verify, code, and approve logistic invoices.
  • Coordinate actions for received quality complaints with relevant parties.
  • Support the internal team for Inventory reconciliation.
  • Support inbound vessel logistics.
  • Crosstraining within the team
  • Document and maintain internal processes, procedures, and freight rates matrix.

YOUR STRENGTHS
Minimum of one year of relevant experience in logistics

  • College or university degree in a relevant field
  • Basic knowledge of Incoterms
  • Proficient skills in the MS Office suite, especially Excel at an advanced level.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good relationshipbuilding skills
  • Due to the nature of the role requiring interaction with national clients, bilingualism in French and English is required for this position.
