Job description
The Payroll Clerk functions as a cohesive member of the Administration Team. They assumes responsibility for payroll processing, maintaining employee benefits as well as employee records.


Responsibilities and Duties
- maintain employee records
- make deductions and remittances
- prepare balances and reconciliations
- prepare monthly statements
- prepare employee payments and benefits
- process forms and documentation for administration of benefits
- compile payroll related reports
- inform employees concerning payroll and benefits matters
- prepares T4's for employees
- other duties as required


Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 3 years experience processing inhouse payroll within a computerized environment
  • Experience in pension and benefit administration
  • Certificate in Canadian Payroll Association an asset
  • Possess an excellent working knowledge in Microsoft office and accounting/payroll systems
  • Experience within a unionized environment an asset
