Hiring Unit:

  • Plant Science_

Position Summary:

  • Field Operations Assistant: Assists with land and plot preparation (soil tilling, rock picking, seeding, weeding, fertilizing, irrigation, drainage). Assist with data collection for research purposes (growth, size and yield observations, counting, maintaining logs). Assists with field work for production of forage and grain crops.

Carries out tasks that may include:
seeding, transplanting, pruning, weeding, hoeing, maintaining & harvesting crops._

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

  • Student enrolled in a CEGEP or undergraduate university program._
  • Minimum Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma
  • Hourly Salary:
