Description

The
Accounting Analyst exists to support the Finance department primarily with AP functionality, as well as data analysis and SAP knowledge ensuring the timely payment and analysis of corporate invoices.

The role also works to support collegial cross functionality for all other roles within the department.


Responsibilities:


  • Code and Enter invoices into BAAN, ensuring that all necessary approvals are in place for all received Canadian and US monthly invoices roughly invoices daily
  • Ensuring all invoices are approved by the respective manager and follow the approval process
  • Verify & match PO's against supplier invoices invoices)
  • Review & reconcile supplier statements consistently to ensure all invoicing is entered.
  • Enter intercompany invoices consisting of more than 200 monthly invoices
  • Set up and run biweekly cheques, ensuring all are properly sorted, matched and printed prior to being delivered for signatures.
  • Complete all filing and general administrative tasks as required
  • Answer general office phones as required to support in office calls
  • Maintain a comprehensive and up to date supplier data base, including payment terms and preferred method.
  • Remitting payments according to terms and deadline requirements
  • Company visa expense report management downloading visa reports, distributing to employees and GL code it for expense booking (once a month for each Canada & US)

Technical/Functional Skills Required

  • Accounting education/courses at a diploma level
  • 2+ years of AP/AR experience
  • 2+ years of Accounting Analyst /Accounting Clerk experience
  • Proficiency in Excel ( vlook up, pivot tables and advanced filters)
  • SAP knowledge/experience strongly preferred
  • Attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
  • Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and sourcing information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer Service oriented & Selfmotivated with ability to work independently
  • Friendly, affable nature with the ability to get along with many different personalities

Experience:
