The individual will own relationships with a range of stakeholders to lead sustainability reporting, including managing all disclosures and requests in line with increasing ESG reporting requirements, external standards and benchmarks (such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, World Benchmarking Alliance, Carbon Disclosure Project).

The individual will also support the regional and commercial teams with stakeholder reporting queries related to material sustainability topics.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the production of McCain's corporate public Sustainability Report, coordinating with functions (including finance, procurement, agriculture, HR, communications) to ensure robust communication of the business's performance through data and storytelling.
  • Project manage and oversee the data collection process for sustainability targets and KPI's, with support from a Senior Data Analyst.
  • Strengthen global sustainability reporting processes and systems to ensure robust and accurate sustainability data.
  • Lead the evolution and alignment towards external sustainability reporting standards and manage work with rating agencies, including Carbon Disclosure Project, GRI etc.
  • Support the further integration of ESG considerations into strategic processes and reporting.
  • Support the commercial team with supply chain related sustainability reporting for McCain's customers and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate sustainability reporting and/or communications.
  • Strong understanding of environmental and social sustainability topics, preferably, knowledge of key sustainability challenges, including netzero strategies, climate change risk, emerging ESG requirements and legislation.
  • Excellent understanding of sustainability and ESG measurement and reporting, including linkages with various external reporting frameworks.
  • Hands on experience in the development and delivery of corporate sustainability and communication reports. Some experience of external assurance would be an advantage.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data and provide detailed and strategic performance narrative.
  • The ability to distil qualitative and quantitative information on leading practices, new approaches, and competitor performance to support strengthened reporting, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate and deliver large projects with a diverse stakeholder base
