  • Provide leadership to a team of professionals including recruiting, hiring, performance management and recognition. Support employees through mentorship, coaching, performance development and career dialogues.
  • Coordinate compliance for Operational Services that includes physical and electronic records that must be kept and accessed in full compliance with privacy legislation, other regulations, and corporate governance standards.
  • Lead the development and monitoring of the records management strategic workplan for the Information Management section for the Operational Services department. Identifies strategic business objectives, service targets and monitors program performance with metrics that are aligned with corporate goals and initiatives.
  • Lead effective risk assessment policies and procedures to prioritize work projects that supports the life cycle management of information.
  • Lead a program review and design of the organizational structure of information management and governance within Operational Services and provide recommendations to management. This would require a significant amount of communication and partner relations.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency and understanding of existing legislation, bylaws, and policies related to records and privacy management.
  • Build partnerships and act as the collaborative leader for corporate and departmental programs and initiatives with other departmental management teams. Act in a lead role to coordinate, champion and influence program requirements and initiatives.
  • Report on budget performance and develop budget requests through the business planning mechanisms.

Qualifications
***A completed 2 year diploma in Records Management or Applied Management or related area with a minimum of 8 years of experience which includes supervising a team OR

  • A degree in Public Administration, Information Management, Library Science, Applied Management, or a related area with a minimum of 5 years of experience which includes supervising a team.
  • Administration of government programs related to access and privacy, legislative duties and corporate records management and leading large corporate projects are required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word) is required.
  • Experience and knowledge with Privacy Legislation.
  • Ability to work and thrive independently and as part of team in a fastpaced environment.
  • Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
