Job description

Require someone with their own vehicle, the ability to be insured and drive a company truck and trailer. Insurance requires someone to be over 25, a named driver on an insurance policy for min 3 years and a clean(ish) drivers abstract.

This is a snow removal position with our pedestrian crew, includes shoveling. Majority of our sites are complexes (townhouses, houses and buildings). You would be working onsite with the crew clearing snow, doing site checks on non snow days, restocking materials etc.

• All candidates must be reliable, have an excellent, positive work ethic, and be willing to work in all kinds of weather. All sites in Calgary and surrounding.
• Must be willing to work weekends on call, 7 days a week, daytime hours
• Operate blowers, use shovels for sidewalk clearing, scraping/chipping ice, take before and after photos, answer and respond to slack messages. Be prepared for calls during weather conditions calling for heavy snow falls.
• Compliance with quality and safety standards Have appropriate work gear and safety gear (winter boots required for snow removal, steel toed bots required for non snow removal tasks).
• Have consistent and reliable transportation - many of our sites are not easily accessible via public transit and sometimes a company truck is not available.
• Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment for both yourself and crew members.
• Ensuring proper use, care and inventory of company vehicles, equipment and tools

This is an opportunity that can transition into year round work for an interested candidate - spring cleans, summer landscape maintenance or construction (we have two departments) and fall cleans.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $22.00-$23.00 per hour
