Reporting to the HR Manager, the Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for recruitment and HR operations within the Mississauga location.

They will play a critical role in establishing vendor partnerships and creating talent pipelines to address Dr. Oetker's recruitment needs, helping to establish Dr. Oetker as an employer of choice. They have an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong attention to detail, looking for ways to enhance programs and processes.


Your Future:


  • Responsible for full cycle recruiting for the Mississauga location.
  • Partner with vendors, schools and attend career fairs to build talent pipelines.
  • Lead the onboarding process for all new employees by coordinating all new hire orientation activities and ensuring completion of all new hire documentation.
  • Conduct the new hire orientation training covering HR policies and training.
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS.
  • Manage the employee lifecycle process and employee movement notifications (onboarding, off boarding, transfers, etc.) and ensuring compliance with internal processes.
  • Run and prepare regular reports and presentation on HR metrics on retention, turnover and recruitment efforts.
  • Assist with other projects as assigned.

Your Strengths:


  • HR degree or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years previous experience in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of the Ontario Employment Standards Act and OHSA
  • Good judgment and effective problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present in front of a large group of people.
  • Demonstrated ability to time manage and prioritize multiple competing requirements.
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information.
  • Experience with ADP and Success Factors is an asset.
  • Holding or working towards obtaining a professional HR designation (CHRP/CHRL) is preferred.
