Faculty/Department Student Affairs Unit SA - Counselling Services Employee Group CUPE 2419 CUPE 5791 Job Family Category Student Number of Vacancies 1 Position Summary

In this position, the Student Assistant will complete the following duties:

  • Conduct a comprehensive literature review and compile a list of best and promising practices related to the topic of "Healthy Relationships".
  • Develop a 1 hour workshop curriculum based on the findings of the literature review. The workshop should complement and align with the philosophy and values of the Step In Step Up program.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Coordinator, Student Conduct, and the Coordinator, Sexual Violence Prevention and Response to ensure deadlines and goals are being met.
  • Create branding for the new program that aligns with the SISU brand, including a social media plan and print advertising (incl. swag).
  • Develop a pre and post workshop evaluation tool to measure participant learning and engagement in the program.
  • Assemble a group of students with which to pilot the training, and organize all aspects of the pilot training (including, room bookings, order of food/supplies, etc.).
  • Facilitate the workshop to the pilot group, including gathering feedback using the developed evaluation tool.
  • Build a virtual version of the workshop using RISE 360, including any recommended revisions/changes based off facilitation experience and participant feedback. Complete a final report including the literature review bibliography, and listing any successes and recommendation for changes to the curriculum and overall program.
Position Requirements

  • Must be a current U of R student at the Master's level;
  • Experience working with the SISU program; and
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Demands Pay Grade As Per CUPE 2419 Salary Range As Per CUPE 2419 Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours

20 hours per week (flexible schedule)
