    The Job

    As the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you report to the Human Resources Manager and you are responsible for duties across employee engagement, recruitment, health and safety, and job performance evaluations, among others. You will be:

    • Supporting the HR Manager in a variety of daily matters and activities with expert knowledge of HR subject matters
    • Lead all HR practices in the absence of the HR Manager
    • Providing counsel to managers regarding employee relations, performance, and any other issues
    • Overseeing the strategy and activities for employee engagement, including surveys and company events
    • Championing employee recognition programs and opportunities for employee appreciation and retention
    • Assisting with identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) and achievement of them
    • Leading end to end recruitment and onboarding of new hires
    • Establishing relationships with both managers and employees to maintain an understanding of needs
    • Supporting and ensuring compliance to health and safety policies and procedures as a member of the Health and Safety Committee
    • Participating in ad-hoc projects that will elevate the company and, most of all, the team members
    • Other duties as assigned

    What you bring to the job

    You have sound experience in human resources with a great business acumen who strives for excellence. You find satisfaction in helping others not only succeed, but also excel. You also have the following qualities:

    • Post-secondary education in human resources
    • Designated or in process of obtaining designation in HR
    • At least 4 years of experience in human resources
    • Progressive experience and responsibilities as a human resources generalist/HRBP
    • Extensive experience in end to end recruitment, employee engagement and retention
    • Strong knowledge of health and safety, experience in safe work training, and ensuring compliance
    • Thorough knowledge and understanding of HR disciplines, practices, employment law, etc.
    • Experienced with employee engagement, job evaluation and recruitment are essential
    • Very strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Good capacity for discretion and sound judgment
