Summary:


DMC is currently looking for an Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis to join our team on an 18-month contract basis, based in our Vaughan Head Office location.

The Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis will be responsible for managing the monthly management reporting and bid review processes.

Furthermore, they will take a leading role in the annual budget process, cash flow forecasting, and other ad hoc queries/projects.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage the process for and prepare the monthly and quarterly reporting and variance analysis of financial and operational results for Senior Leadership.
  • Manage the process for and prepare the monthly financial forecast for the current fiscal year and perform variance analysis against the approved budget.
  • Provide detailed financial and trending analysis and reports to support executive management decision making and strategy.
  • Prepare the annual budgets including operating and capital budgets by liaising with different project leaders and consolidating results.
  • Develop operational metrics and KPIs to evaluate, direct and track business performance.
  • Develop financial modelling and gather data to help guide business and strategic initiatives by reviewing historical trends and forecasting future trends, presenting relevant information to executive team to facilitate decision making.
  • Provide strategic financial leadership and support on the evaluation of potential investments and/or other issues affecting the business.
  • Develop customized reports and visually impactful presentations for various end users and stakeholders including annual budget presentations, reports on key performance indicators, benchmarking targets, etc.
  • Perform adhoc analysis, reports and projects as required.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
  • CPA Designation is an asset.
  • 3+ years' experience of progressive accounting experience.
  • Excellent financial analysis and Excel skills.
  • Great communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to be a strong internal business partner with a collaborative business focus
  • Advanced financial analysis skills with demonstrated expertise in complex financial model building.
  • Selfstarter / selfmotivated / operate independently.
