    About the Role

  • Work within the Corporate Communications team and cross-divisionally to develop, implement, and manage internal and external corporate communications that protect and advance LCBO's strategic priorities, leaders, and brand.
  • Provide support and coaching to business divisions on their communications strategies and content based on a developed understanding and knowledge of the company's business operations and culture.
  • Develop strategic and impactful integrated communications plans to reach l LCBO employees across our retail stores, warehouses, and head office to achieve business objectives.
  • Support senior leadership profiles through the development of presentations and speeches.
  • Work cross-functionally to plan and execute corporate events as required.
  • Respond to media enquiries and help identify proactive earned media opportunities to support the brand and our leaders, working with media outlets as required.
  • Identify and work with the team to respond externally to a wide range of significant issues; provide advice and strategy execution, monitoring support, and reporting during crisis and issues management.
  • Prepare and manage distribution of key messaging and FAQs to various audiences using a variety of methods, channels, and technologies consistent with best-in-class practices.
  • Help ensure all LCBO communications are on message, consistent in quality and delivery, and aligned in narratives, helping to cultivate and grow the brand voice and tell cohesive stories.
  • Manage and update key intranet/SharePoint pages to provide employees with the latest information and updates.
  • About You

  • University Degree with a focus in corporate communications, public relations, marketing preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years, at least three of which are at a managerial level leading a team.
  • Experience in corporate communications, public relations, issues management, brand management, social media, and digital content (including SharePoint).
  • Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive integrated communications and engagement strategies to help achieve business objectives.
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills with the ability to distill complex information into clear, concise messaging and write for a broad spectrum of audiences and multi-media communications channels. Have exceptional attention to detail.
  • A strong grasp of public relations and experience working with media outlets on proactive and reactive corporate messaging.
  • Ability to prioritize among competing requests in a fast-paced environment, embrace change, and demonstrate diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Positive and innovative mindset – always looking for ways to improve how LCBO communicates with and engages stakeholders.
