Description

Your contributions to the team include:

  • Perform the installation, configuration, and maintenance of all IT services, programs and devices throughout the company
  • Administer and maintain the use of all networks, as well as connections to the Internet and peripheral equipment
  • Assist with ticket escalations from other IT staff, provide end user support
  • Coordinate with vendors for troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades
  • Administer and maintain a vSphere/NetApp environment, onpremise servers, and multiple AD domain
  • Maintain servers and services in both public and private cloud environments
  • Optimize and Automate systems using PowerShell, Group Policy, and Microsoft Intune
  • Provide internal and external network support (server security, software updates, hardware maintenance)
  • Stay informed on new or emerging trends and technologies that provide clear benefits to the organization
  • Upgrade, install and troubleshoot networks, networking hardware devices and software
  • Develop and document system standards for computer and network devices
  • Assist in designing and implementing security strategies to protect intellectual property
  • Ensure data is backed up with both short term and longterm implementation strategies in mind

What you need to be successful:

  • Post-secondary Diploma/Degree is considered an asset
  • Minimum 3 years of direct work experience in systems and/or network administration, with user support
  • Minimum 3 years Windows Server experience, current certifications would be considered an asset
  • Minimum 3 years VMware vSphere experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience with Microsoft Office 365 administration
  • Minimum 2 years experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Basic Linux experience would be considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, OSPF, IPv4/IPv6, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of PowerShell or C# would be considered an asset
  • Experience with Ubiquiti network products would be considered an asset
  • Experience with A/V Equipment would be considered an asset
  • Experience with access control systems would be considered an asset
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently
  • High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
  • Excellent problem identification and troubleshooting skills
  • Superior time management skills, multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks with mínimal supervision
