Position Overview:
The Business Client Relations and Marketing Instructor at IH Career College is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in the fields of business-client relations, Business in Canada, Hospitality and Tourism, Customer Care and Client Management, Career Connection, Business Leadership and Communication, Marketing and Branding
strategies.
This position requires a dynamic individual with extensive industry experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for educating and mentoring students.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver curriculum:
Design and implement engaging lesson plans, course materials, and activities that cover topics such as business client relationship management, customer service strategies, marketing principles, and sales techniques.
Facilitate classroom instruction:
Conduct lectures, discussions, workshops, and presentations to deliver course content effectively and promote student engagement and participation.
Provide individualized support:
Offer guidance, mentorship, and feedback to students to help them develop essential skills and knowledge in business-client relations and marketing.
Foster a collaborative learning environment:
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages teamwork, critical thinking, and creativity among students.
Stay current with industry trends:
Keep abreast of developments, trends, and best practices in business-client relations, marketing, and customer management to ensure the relevance and currency of course content.
Assess student performance:
Evaluate student progress, comprehension, and achievement through assessments, assignments, exams, and other evaluative measures, and provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement.
Collaborate with colleagues:
Work collaboratively with other faculty members, academic staff, and industry partners to enhance the quality of instruction, curriculum development, and program outcomes.
Participate in professional development:
Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including workshops, conferences, training sessions, and networking events, to enhance teaching effectiveness and stay updated on relevant advancements in the field.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in businessclient relations, marketing, sales, or a related field.
- Previous teaching or training experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment.
- Commitment to student success, academic excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to use Moodle.
