    Position Overview

    The VP, Global Sales leads CMH's Global Sales (Inside Sales Representatives, Agents, and In-Market Sales Representatives) and Guest Services functions by setting strategic direction to deliver revenue growth, superior guest satisfaction, strong team performance and engagement, and optimized end-to-end business processes.

    They will ensure that new products and delivery mechanisms are developed and adopted, and that leading-edge technology is harnessed, to enhance CMH's position as a market leader.

    They will deliver results through a combination of informed decision making, transformational leadership, performance management, exceptional communication and relationship building, and effective use of resources, collaborative partnerships, and system optimization across CMH teams and the broader Alterra Mountain Company group.

    Their strong focus on objectives and key results, and their critical strategic and operational decisions, will ensure that targets are met or exceeded and that the market-leading service for which CMH is known is maintained and enhanced in demonstrable ways.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Work within the Executive Leadership Team to create a strategic vision for CMH and build a culture that prioritizes safety, the best experience for employees and guests, recognizes our responsibility to communities and the mountain environment in which we are so privileged to operate, and achieves leading financial results.
    • Lead, develop, transform, and manage the Sales and Guest Service teams to meet continuing end-to-end-sales delivery, revenue, and professional development targets, by ensuring that the right people, processes, and resources are in place.
    • Work with relevant business areas to identify and implement new business, product, and revenue opportunities, along with developing sales networks and channels.
    • Ensure adoption of industry best practices, a data driven approach, effective reporting, and use of KPI's and tools such as Business Central/LS Retail - ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), Microsoft CE (Customer Engagement), Dynamics CRM and Power BI.
    • Ensure that the entire organization understands the critical importance of the end-to-end guest journey.
    • Manage relationships amongst internal and external stakeholders to ensure that sales and guest service objectives and key results are achieved.
    • Provide feedback and support to marketing, product development, hospitality, and mountain operations to ensure consistency between promises and delivery.
    • Train, participate in and provide support as required during emergency response situations and critical incident response.
    • Support CMH Sustainability, DEI, and OHS initiatives.
    • Support guests and employees in the field program during area visits, as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications
    • Business administration, sales, marketing, or other relevant bachelor's degree, required.
    • 5+ years at a senior leadership level with a proven record of successfully achieving targets for revenue, and guest and employee satisfaction, translating business vision into results.
    • 15+ years of significant working knowledge and experience in travel & tourism (luxury and personalized), particularly financial and operational environments. Experience working on a global scale, with remote, diverse, and matrixed communities is highly desirable.
    • Valid driver's license with clean driver's abstract.
    • Legally eligible to work in Canada.

    • Excellent commercial and financial acumen, and excellent written and verbal communication skills to drive the needs of transformation across CMH.
    • Strong strategic thinking capabilities, including the ability to objectively assess impacts of change on all business areas and the guest experience.
    • Experience in successfully working with quality monitoring tools and systems to improve guest-leading and lagging indicators of satisfaction.
    • Ability to act as a positive change agent by managing and delivering outcomes through exceptional communication and engagement.
    • Ability to embrace excellence and create the future, by maximizing efficiencies in working practices, collaboratively resolving complex problems, while empowering others to do the same.
    • Superior computer literacy skills and excellent working knowledge of travel and hospitality industry technology and tools such as Microsoft Dynamics Suite, project planning and management, and quality assurance.
    • Recognized industry credentials in transformation (eg, Six Sigma, Lean, Systems Learning, ACMP membership) are an asset.

    Working Conditions
    • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
    • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a regular basis.
    • This position requires you to work on evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business.
    • This position will require frequent travel to CMH areas, as well as other business-related travel.

    A competitive compensation package will be provided including an attractive base salary which is based upon qualifications, experience, and skill set, as well as an annual incentive program. Further details will be discussed in a personal interview.
