Description

As per the established schedule, assist with performing the required maintenance on all stationary equipment, mobile plant equipment and building components of the Plant.


  • Must be able to follow instructions and to understand basic mechanical directions regarding repairs and maintenance of plant equipment
  • Will carry out regular inventory control procedures and advise Plant Supervisor/ Plant Manager when parts need to be ordered.
  • Assist contractors and subcontractors with repairs or overhauls and with new equipment installations as required.
  • Operate mobile equipment as required in the performance of job duties.
  • Complete daily housekeeping assignments for screens, conveyors, motors, pulleys etc.
  • Responsible for returning all tools to the shop after use & maintaining the shop
  • Constantly monitor plant equipment when in process to pinpoint problems before they arise
  • Fill out daily maintenance log sheet
  • Be on call for maintenance issues that need to be completed off hours.
  • Attend all Department meetings and health and Safety training.
  • Weekends, Holidays and night shift work will be required.

Qualifications

  • Must be selfmotivated and able to work independently
  • Follow specific production standards and guidelines
  • May be required to work overtime and oncall
  • Must be mechanically inclined and willing to learn
