Qualifications:


  • Diploma/certificate/apprenticeship in applied technology, or related field
  • Building Environmental Systems Operator certificate preferred
  • 23 years experience in a maintenance department of a large facility
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent trouble-shooting and problem solving skills

  • Able to work flexible hours
Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, etc.

  • Experience in a healthcare environment preferred
  • Evidence of satisfactory attendance record
  • An employee's disciplinary record will be reviewed as part of the assessment of qualifications
  • Ability to work in a manner that exemplifies the centre's core values and helps patients_ get their life back_
  • Should be aware of conditions and measures that may affect the safety of patients, residents, students, employees, volunteers, physicians and visitors

Accountabilities:


  • Conduct maintenance work as required, in support of departmental and divisional goals.
  • Communicate with manager to receive feedback on overall performance.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of Hospital facility and grounds equipment
  • Other duties that may need to be assigned.
