Qualifications:

Diploma/certificate/apprenticeship in applied technology, or related field
Building Environmental Systems Operator certificate preferred
23 years experience in a maintenance department of a large facility
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent trouble-shooting and problem solving skills

Able to work flexible hours

Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, etc.

Experience in a healthcare environment preferred
Evidence of satisfactory attendance record
An employee's disciplinary record will be reviewed as part of the assessment of qualifications
Ability to work in a manner that exemplifies the centre's core values and helps patients_ get their life back_
Should be aware of conditions and measures that may affect the safety of patients, residents, students, employees, volunteers, physicians and visitors

Accountabilities:

Conduct maintenance work as required, in support of departmental and divisional goals.
Communicate with manager to receive feedback on overall performance.
Ensure proper maintenance of Hospital facility and grounds equipment
Other duties that may need to be assigned.
