Part Time Medical Office Assistant Position

We are a busy specialist office seeking a part time office assistant to join a team of 2 fun, hardworking, full time office assistants.

We are looking for 2 days per week on average. The days would be either Monday and Friday, or Thursday and Friday. You will also be required for holiday relief and sick days. Our hours of operation are 08:00 to 15:30.

This position performs a variety of administrative and reception duties:

• Registering patients
• Escorting patients to examination rooms
• Sanitizing examination rooms and equipment
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Maintaining patient records
• Managing time sensitive correspondence
• Transcribing dictations

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Medical Office Assistant Program from an accredited institution
• Two years of recent related experience in a health care setting preferred

wpm typing

• Familiarity with EMR, preferably Med Access
• Ability to utilize and understand medical terminology
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• Medical office: 1 year (preferred)
