Job Description:

The Production Supervisor is cross trained in each department within Production and leads a team of Operators in all areas including safety, productivity, and quality.

Reporting directly to the Production Manager, The Production Supervisor is focused on the long-term development of their team while delivering both short and long-term results set forth by the organization.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Planning, directing, and coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing Pea Protein in accordance with cost, quality and quantity specifications.
Supervising and directing production of Pea Protein using materials, methods, processes, and procedures as adopted by management for the safety and productivity of the plant and all employees and contractors.
Ensuring safety of their team and ensuring the team is adequately trained to safely perform their duties.
Promptly identifying and addressing unsafe conditions.
Delivering both short and long term team results around initiatives set by Head of Production around safety, KPIs, continuous improvement, etc.
Ensuring longterm development of team and team members to build depth of capability for improved results.
Maximizing overall Operations results on throughput, uptime, efficiencies, and usages.
Troubleshooting equipment failures, determining work around and reporting deficiencies, and problems to the Head of Production.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising production team members in a food or industrial manufacturing setting.
Education or experience related to chemistry would be a definite asset.
Must be willing to work extended hours, evening and weekends (12hour shifts).
You are very safety conscious.
You have strong verbal communication skills and are able to work effectively with internal stakeholders.
You are results driven, selfdisciplined and have strong problemsolving skills.
Strong engineering knowledge and familiarity with experimental design and statistical data analysis is an asset
