The Organization:

Pauquachin First Nation is an Indigenous community on the west side of the Saanich Peninsula.

The opportunity:


Working directly with the Health Manager and team, the health programmer will design, plan, and implement a variety of community health initiatives such as weekly community events, community groups, cultural revitalization programs, and food distributions.

This will be a dynamic role to support the growing capacity and demands of the Pauquachin First Nation Health Department.


Duties and Responsibilities:


This will involve the following core job duties:

  • Facilitating workshops and programs
  • Working with budgets and finances
  • Writing program plans
  • Communicating with community members
  • Supporting the Health Manager with other projects and duties as required
  • Occasional weekend or evening availability is required for this position

  • Create a personal wellness plan
  • Be a positive role model
  • Write and submit funding proposals and reports
  • Design and implement community programs from starttofinish
  • Work collaboratively with the Health team
  • Plan proactively
  • Adjust to a rapidly changing work environment
  • Think critically and adapt programs as necessary

What we require from you:


  • College Diploma in a related field (2year)
  • Valid class 5 drivers license
  • Vulnerable sector criminal record check
  • Current SFA/CPR-C
