    About the Position:

    Walters is recruiting a new graduate to join in the Sales/Estimating Department, in the Walters Corporate Office. This position will be within the Feature Walters Sales team whose focus is Ornamental and Feature work.

    Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Reviewing consultants 2D drawings or 3D models to perform material take-offs.
  • Estimating the cost to fabricate a wide range of work such as;Feature stairs (Visit company website for project highlights).Artworks.Architectural feature walls.Ornamental metals.Etc.
  • Soliciting pricing from suppliers and partners.
  • Preparing price comparisons and sales proposals.
  • Assisting with construction planning such as logistical needs and methodology of construction.
  • Assisting with process and operational improvement.

    • Work Location:

  • Hamilton, ON. (Head Office).

    • Position Requirements:

  • Graduate of Architectural Technology or Civil Engineering Technology.
  • Experience/previous co-op in construction or metal fabrication is an asset.
  • Knowledge of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to read structural and architectural drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Good time management.
  • Experience with Tekla or other 3D modelling software is an asset.
  • Experience with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Python, or other programming languages that interface with Microsoft Excel is an asset.
