Please proceed using the link: OVERVIEW:Startec Refrigeration Service is currently recruiting a Quality Control Administrator/Inspector to work at our Shepard Office location (9423 Shepard Rd SE, Calgary, AB, T2C 4R6). Reporting to the VP, of Projects, the Quality Control Administrator/Inspector at Startec Refrigeration is a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of the Field Construction Quality Control department. This position requires a skilled multitasker who excels in a fast-paced environment, contributing to both administrative functions and basic inspection duties. The successful candidate will undergo training to assist in preparing ABSA submittal packages, demonstrating a commitment to professional development. Responsibilities include providing essential administrative support, conducting basic inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards, collaborating with the team for training initiatives, and maintaining accurate documentation of inspections and reports. If you are a dynamic individual seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity for growth within a collaborative team, this position is tailor-made for you.KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):QUALITY CONTROL PROCEDURES (Weighting 40%)Quality Management & System Maintenance
    • Maintain QMS Certificates.
    • Establish and maintain project quality control job files.
    • Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
    Pressure Piping Documentation & Approval
    • Preparing packages for pressure piping pneumatic testing to be approved by internal engineering and submitted to ABSA as required.
    • Preparing packages for pressure piping registration to be approved by internal engineering and submitted to ABSA.
    Quality Issue Management:
    • Provide troubleshooting expertise to manage any quality-related issues that arise.
    • Requesting Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
    CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT & PROJECT SUPPORT (Weighting 30%)Customer Interaction
    • Engage with Customers & Customers Quality Representatives.
    • Review of Customer Specifications and assistance in cost estimates.
    Quality Assurance & Team Training
    • Attend Internal & External Audits.
    • Support the Site Supervisors, Project Managers, Foreman, Sales team, Trades personnel, and other project personnel by educating and engaging them in all aspects of Startec's Quality Management System.
    ADMINISTRATION (Weighting 30%)Data Management
    • Data entry for the QC department.
    • Tracking of welders for NDE, PWHT and Heat No's and reporting.
    • Assisting with on-site visual inspections of all welds.
    Operational Tasks
    • Maintaining spreadsheets.
    • General office duties: filing, printing & scanning of documents.
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • High School Diploma.
    • 3+ years QC/QA administration experience in a manufacturing or Fied environment.
    • A minimum CWB level 1.
    • Familiarity with quality management systems.
    • Efficient in Microsoft Windows operating systems; Microsoft Office, Excel & Outlook.
    • Previous Document Control experience would be considered an asset.
    • Understanding of code around Pneumatic pressure testing would be a great asset.
    • Highly organized and able to work under minimal supervision.
    • Able to travel to sites mainly within Alberta on occasion.
    • Must be familiar with ASME, ASTM, ABSA PESR and CSA codes and standards but not limited to the following: ASME Sec, VIII Div. 1, ASME Sec. II, ASME Sec. V, ASME Sec. IX, ASME B31.3/ B31.5, CSA B51/ W59.
    • Able to look up relevant code and assist with directional decisions on QC projects.
