Your role


In this role, you will be a part of a dynamic and client oriented professional environment providing consulting services to correctionnal facilities.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop strong client relationships and act as the client's single point of contact throughout the project to achieve the client's goals and objectives
  • Ensure that client expectations and satisfaction are met or exceeded on all projects and the client's best interests are represented with respect to contractual and technical issues
  • Select and organize project teams and establish levels of authority and lines of communication
  • Chair project and site meetings, find a resolution to issues and coordinate between multiple stakeholders
  • Regularly reporting on project status by means of schedule updates, meeting minutes, financial records, and other reports
  • Provide oversight and leadership to the change management process, payment certificates, and other contract or projectrelated administrative documents
  • Lead the control of projectrelated documents and deliver all work in accordance with our Quality Management System and procedures
  • Maintain contact with existing and prospective clients and respond to business development and sales opportunities with support from Senior Leadership

Qualifications:

  • Experience in at least (3) successful construction projects in a correctional facility or similar highsecurity environment in the last (15) years with a minimum value of $ 1 million each. Correctional service environments can include detention facilities (prisons), airports, border crossings, police stations, court houses, immigration offices, and casinos
  • All (3) successful construction projects should include all traditional construction sets (mechanical, electrical, architectural) and such things as building security and locking systems, electronic security systems, cameras, etc
  • Experience representing owners to multiple stakeholders in the delivery of projects
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience managing public sector construction projects (federal, provincial, municipal, school boards, etc.)
  • A university degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering OR in architecture
  • Professional order or association memberships and PMP certifications will be considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge of various types of construction methodologies, project management models, and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law, and relevant legislation
  • Effective leadership and organizational skills with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client, project, and technical issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
