Description

Main Duties:


  • Oversee all Accounts Payable and Receivable functions for Lakeside Produce and Cervini Farms businesses.
  • Oversee Payroll for all businesses and Labour Planning for Lakeside hourly employees.
  • Oversee Information Technology needs for all the companies.
  • Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
  • Support monthend and yearend close process.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, provincial, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Review cheques/EFT's prior to signature for Accounts Payable.
  • Oversight of Bank Reconciliations.
  • Manage US Foreign exchange hedging and trade.
  • Additional controller duties as necessary.

Qualifications:


  • Post-Secondary degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CA, CMA or CPA Accounting Designation.
  • 510 years of proven experience in various corporate accounting and financial functions.
  • A/R, A/P, Payroll, Corporate Tax, Forecasting, Sales Reporting and Analysis, Month End, Year-End Corporate Reporting Experience.
  • Produce experience an asset.
  • 35 years experience managing, leading and coaching teams.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Pay:
$100,000.00-$110,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Leamington, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
