Aurora Underwriting Solutions is a growing commercial insurance MGA, partnering with retail brokers across Canada to deliver competitive, tailored insurance solutions. We're looking for an experienced Fleet Underwriter to join our team.

About the Role

In this position, you'll manage trucking and transportation submissions across Auto Physical Damage and Motor Truck Cargo product lines. Working within Lloyd's contract guidelines, you'll underwrite moderate to complex commercial accounts, price and authorize risks, and build lasting relationships with our retail broker network.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite trucking and transportation risks with a focus on profitability and growth
• Cultivate and expand broker relationships to develop new business opportunities
• Accurately document, price, and authorize accounts within established underwriting authority
• Operate within defined rating matrices, structured parameters, and Lloyd's contract guidelines
• Identify opportunities to improve departmental processes and efficiency

What You Bring

• Experience in commercial transportation underwriting (Auto Physical Damage and/or Motor Truck Cargo preferred)
• Strong relationship-building and business development skills
• Sound judgment and decision-making ability on complex risks
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Adaptability and a self-motivated approach to work
